B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (4 Years)

Program Overview

Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate Civil Engineering course. Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering and it was defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering.

It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, and construction engineering. Civil engineering takes place on all levels in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to internationalcompanies. The duration of the course is four years and it may be offered by some institutes on more or less times as per their rules and regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Admission to B.Tech. Programs is open to a student who passed / appeared Intermediate / Higher Secondary (10+2) from any approved Board with minimum 50% marks in PCM. Candidates appearing in Entrance Test JEE / UPSEE /SUNET-2020 can get admission

ADMISSION (Second Year- Lateral Entry )

Candidates who have a 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government, or passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University with atleast 60% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject may be admitted directly to 2nd year of B.Tech. Program.
